Job Title:                        Business Applications Analyst

SUMMARY:

The Business Applications Analyst is a multi-faceted role focusing on driving the development, use, integration, and advancement of DISYS/Signature’s business application framework.   This role will work with business users from the DISYS/Signature’s team and field offices to identify process improvement opportunities and to develop system requirements to support current and future needs.  The role will be hands on in nature conducting workshops, interviewing users, documenting current and future needs, working with current and potential vendors, and working with application development teams to architect system and application structures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Ownership & Support

Support and of the lifecycle of the products

Research new add on or replacement products

Measures and drives user adoption

Stays abreast of new product releases and drives upgrades

Maximizes use of existing features within toolsets

Conducts data quality reviews and audits where necessary

Vendor Management

Liaison to product vendors

Coordinates support, training, SOWs, overarching problem management and new releases / new functionality rollouts

Works with sales and technical POCs at vendor

Pushes to develop deep relationships inside the vendor with intent to transition them to a partner

Project Management

Lead all types of projects from system upgrades, product implementations, custom development, and report creation

Provide project management of various resources including IT, DABA, EDM, Training and Development, business users and external vendors and partners

When another PM is used, support that individual where necessary

Business Process and Requirements Management

Learns and deeply understands the business processes in the various units

Aids in and drives the development of process documentation

Provides business analysis on projects and process reengineering

Creates system and product requirements documents

Product Support

Provide primary SME to users on process questions

Support Help Desk in problem management and basic how to questions

Provide escalated troubleshooting

Assist in vendor interaction for advanced problem management

Build training for Help Desk and other support personnel

Quality Assurance

Builds test plans

Conducts technical and functional system testing

Coordinates User Acceptance Testing

Works with engineering/developers and vendors to ensure a successful transition of changes into production

User Training

Develop user and quick reference guides and job aides

Build recorded training

Conduct webinars

Provide hands on training where needed

Coordinate with vendor for on site or offsite training

Recommend to management where users need advanced training

Reporting and Analytics

Support basic reporting and analytic activities

Develop reports where possible

Liaise with EDM or DABA for advanced reporting needs

System Configuration and Development

Perform hands on system configuration of SaaS applications

Develop basic queries, macros, scripts, etc. where necessary

 QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate should have:

Undergraduate degree in technology or engineering or an equivalent required.  Technology certifications in project management, business analysis or software/database development, etc. are desired.

4 years of graduated experience in business analysis, software support and software development, or equivalent. Staffing, Recruiting or Sales experience is ideal. 

Extensive knowledge of business issues and processes as well as IT resources and enabling technologies.

Experience with CRM or Applicant Tracking systems a plus

Developing requirements documents

Developing workflow documents

Developing system design and integration documents

Conducting user interviews and workshops

Creating and following application test plans

Researching software/system product vendors and creating comparative reviews and making recommendations to management

Implementing off-the-shelf products within an organization

Creating training plans for product rollout

Creating product implementation plans

Ability to take initiative and drive projects and results

Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work under pressure
